About House Of Delight

The ambiance at House Of Delight manages to balance casual comfort with subtle touches of elegance, creating a setting that is unpretentious yet welcoming. Lighting is soft, fostering an inviting atmosphere without feeling dim or overly formal. Patrons pored over a detailed menu that reveals a broad selection of traditional and contemporary Chinese dishes. The presentation of several plates lingered in memory; vivid imagery in online photos from previous diners hints at a vibrant culinary approach, although the actual plating varied slightly in refinement. The pace of service maintained a steady rhythm, neither rushed nor sluggish, accommodating the ebb and flow of a mixed crowd.

Within the array of offerings, the stir-fried beef with black bean sauce stands out for its robust layering of flavors, while the king prawns, though fresh and lightly crisped, occasionally risked under-seasoning. The House Of Delight menu evidently caters to diverse tastes, with options that appeal to both adventurous eaters and those who prefer familiar comforts. From a value perspective, the dishes are reasonably priced considering portion sizes, though some might expect a bit more consistency in seasoning across the board. The variety allows for meals that can be shared or enjoyed solo, with some reviews noting that certain specialties tend to be highlights for frequent visitors.

Exploring feedback from various reviews reveals a pattern of appreciation for the restaurant's steady quality alongside gentle critiques about occasional crowd noise during peak hours. Interaction with staff, in turn, usually registers as pleasant—alert and knowledgeable without seeming overly formal. The subtle background music contributes to a lively dining experience without overpowering conversation. While the venue sits discreetly above street level, many patrons find the ease of parking and accessibility enhances convenience. Ultimately, those seeking authentic Chinese cuisine paired with a straightforward dining experience may find themselves frequently returning to this establishment in Glen Waverley.

The real stand out here was the manager/owner the service he provided to me and my husband could not be faulted. Resturant very clean and organised. Beautiful array of desserts and meat options, the soup bases themselves were very tasty. Saw that they had a little function room for larger groups. Overall could not recommend this place enough 5/5

Good quality meat for pricing. AYCE, buffet style hot pot with desserts. The broth is always on point and the sauce station has loads of options. Only downside is that the buffet area is very cramped so at peak hour you may be clashing into people like traffic jam.

House Of Delight in Glen Waverley offers a great mix of cooked food and hotpot with plenty of choice, making it ideal for sharing with friends or family. Lunch starts from around $18.80 and dinner buffets from about $52.80. We found the range of flavours impressive—everything from spicy broths to seafood and noodles. It’s casual and comfortable, with the variety making it easy for everyone to find something they like. The experience is affordable and friendly, though if you're looking for something ultra-premium, it doesn't quite push into the high-end realm. Still, for what you pay, it hits the mark for mix-and-match dining and big-group meet-ups.

We recently visited House of Delight Hot Pot Restaurant for my husband’s birthday, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The buffet selection was impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh ingredients, flavorful broths, and plenty of options for every taste. Everything was well-prepared and consistently replenished. The staff made the celebration extra special. Bang, in particular, provided exceptional customer service—attentive, friendly, and always making sure we had everything we needed. His professionalism truly stood out. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary birthday cake for my husband, which added a warm and thoughtful touch to the evening. On top of that, we received a discount, making the whole experience even better value. Overall, House of Delight delivered great food, excellent service, and a memorable birthday celebration. Highly recommended! especially with Bang taking care of you!

So happy we chose this place. Hotpot soups are tasty, the variety is amazing, and the desserts are absolutely gorgeous. The best (owner?) Manager, what a wonderful gentleman to meet. He helped us celebrate our friend’s birthday in style, with four adults, a teenager and child. Can’t wait to go again. Excellent value and a great dining experience. Would definitely recommend!

An enjoyable 2-hour Hot Pot lunch buffet at House of Delight. With a wide range of hot pot and cooked food choices, dedicated customer service and reasonable price, will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family. Hope other hot pot buffet businesses can learn from them - offering a generous and reasonable time limit and not charging leftovers which may irritates customers to take more food than they need or want, just for balancing the food leftover charges.
